Sorry for the delay in posting, I had a lot of things to do. I’m back now and will try to post more often. Here’s what I want to talk about.
This is hard for me to say as I feel guilty for asking. A little over a week ago, my wife started a go fund me to send me to New York Comic Con. My son has paid for the trip, the place to stay and the tickets to the event. This is a once in my life chance. I say in my life because most, if not all of you know I have stage 4 kidney cancer. I don’t know how long I will live but the average is 5 years. I hope it’s more, obviously. My time is also limited because my quality of life can worsen. There are many factors.
I appreciate your generosity. I’m grateful and touched by those who have already donated. I’m also thankful to those who intend to donate. You all are wonderful people. I know that many of you won’t be able to donate and I totally respect that. It’s alright and I love you too.
FYI, I’m going to sell some things that I don’t need. I have stuff that I never use or play. For example, unused boardgames, magic cards, and some miniatures, both painted and unpainted. I might also sell some miniature paints, brushes, and supplies, but I’m not sure yet. If you’re interested in any of this, tell me.
I wrote this post to explain why I need that money. I feel guilty asking for it and I hope you don’t resent me. I love you all, my blood and chosen family. You are all important to me and make me a better person.
This is the conclusion of my post. I appreciate your attention and until next time, keep in mind; “I love you no matter what you do, but do you have to do so much of it?” — Jean Illsley Clarke
